Assassin's Creed Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season

In a unexpected crossover event that breaks conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who finish the mission will obtain an special katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update

This update also adds the game's third free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
